Master Instructor Rigoberto ("Gobi") Hernandez began his martial arts career in 2010 at Traditional Taekwondo Center in Atlanta Georgia. Shortly after joining, Master Gobi convinced his father, Master Rigoberto, to join as well. They studied under Grandmaster Tae Ju Jung. Since Orange belt, Master Gobi and his father have tested at the same time for every subsequent rank.
In November 2011, Grandmaster Tony Chung took over the dojang. Master Gobi and his father continued to train with Grandmaster Chung at Tonchu Martial Arts, in Atlanta, testing up to their third degree black belts.
After moving to Baltimore, they were pleased to find that Elite Core Martial Arts could offer training at all levels. They passed their 4th Dan Black Belt test in December 2018.
