Master Instructor Rigoberto Hernandez began his martial arts career in 2010 after his son, now Master Gobi Hernandez, encouraged him to join him at Traditional Taekwondo Center in Atlanta Georgia.  They studied under Grandmaster Tae Ju Jung.  Since his first orange belt test, Master Rigoberto and his son have tested together for every subsequent belt.

In November 2011, Grandmaster Tony Chung took over the dojang.  Master Rigoberto and his son continued to train with Grandmaster Chung at Tonchu Martial Arts, in Atlanta, testing up to their third degree black belts.

 

After moving to Baltimore, they were pleased to find that Elite Core Martial Arts could offer training at all levels.  They passed their 4th Dan Black Belt test in December 2018.

Master Rigoberto teaches as needed because of his primary obligations as the Gompf Family Professor at Johns Hopkins. More information about his professional activities may be found at:
